ABOUT AOR

The Association of Ohio Recyclers (AOR) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade organization, founded in 1989, promoting waste reduction, reuse and recycling. AOR is nonpolitical and nonpartisan. AOR prides itself by promoting sound solid waste management practices incorporating source separation and recycling of marketable materials in the waste stream.

Our Mission:

To promote and advance the viability of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling through statewide leadership, partnerships, communication, education, and networking opportunities.

Our Vision:

To be a leading resource and facilitator of partnerships to advance sustainable materials management for recycling professionals in Ohio.

MEMBERS

AOR's members include governmental organizations, nonprofits, solid waste districts, and private businesses working to achieve waste reduction in the state of Ohio. For information on joining AOR, contact us or visit our membership page.

Through our partnership with the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) AOR members are extended membership in NRC.

Through our partnership with Keep America Beautiful we are able to leverage investments in nationwide recycling initiatives to benefit Ohio citizens and organizations.

MEMBERSHIP

AOR develops important partnerships with business, government, and nonprofit leaders to bring about meaningful changes in the way we use, manage, and recycle resources. AOR members are a diverse group representing any individual, business, organization or government entity engaged in the business or activity of recycling within the State of Ohio.

Membership benefits include:

  • Association with Ohio’s premier statewide recycling organization

  • Full Individual NRC membership including voting privileges, access to the ‘members only’ portion of the NRC website containing recycling tools and resources, discounted rates for NRC conferences and events

  • Discounts on registration for the Annual Conference and other workshops, training and events

  • Discounts on exhibition fees for the Annual Conference

  • Access to a wide variety of information, resources, and networks across Ohio

  • Opportunity to run for AOR Board of Directors

  • Continuing education opportunities, including sponsored seminars, workshops, and facility tours

  • Memberships run from January 1st through December 31st
